Youth Employment Service (YES)

What is the Youth Employment Service (YES) ?

The Youth Employment Service (YES) Initiative is a compact involving government, labour and the private sector in which a business can hire black youth, placing them in a host Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise (SMME) where it can’t absorb them, in exchange for an increase in its B-BBEE points of up to two levels.

The employment contract lasts for one year at a remuneration of at least R3,500 a month for each employee. For YES purposes, black youth means unemployed Black, Coloured and Indian people aged 18 — 35. Contact us today for assistance strengthening your B-BBEE scorecard through the YES Initiative.
